Refined round nut: Enhancing fastening solutions with precision and durability
Round nutnut
The stop washer for round nut, also known as the check washer, commonly known as the king eight pad, is a washer that prevents the round nut from loosening. It is widely used in electrical appliances, elevators, and machinery to fix rolling bearings to prevent loosening. Round nuts are generally fine-threaded and are mainly used for shaft end locking and are usually used with check washers. Round nuts and round nut stop washers have always been used together, see the following instructions for specific use.
Round nuts are often paired with locking washers. During assembly, the inner tongue of the washer is inserted into the groove on the shaft, while the outer tongue of the washer is inserted into the groove of the round nut, and the nut is locked; Alternatively, double nuts can be used to prevent loosening, often used as axial fixation for rolling bearings. Round nuts with thread specifications ranging from M10 × 1 to M200 × 3.
The marking for round nuts with thread specification D=M16 × 1.5, material of 45 steel, groove or all heat treated hardness HRC35-45, and surface oxidation: Nut GB/T 812-88 M16 × 1.5.
Precautions for the installation of round nutsnut
1. When the round nut is installed and used, the chamfered side should be towards the end of the compression.
Install the round nut on the bolt with a stop washer by pressing it down, and pay attention to whether the chamfered side is facing down or the flat side is down. Some people say that the chamfered side is perpendicular to the thread axis and should be leaning on the locked surface. Do you know what the basis and standard for this is? Actually, the chamfered side should be towards the pressing end. We have to see whether the width of the washer is consistent with the width of the circle on the chamfered side, and then see that the "eight claws" on the check washer have a certain angle.
2.There are teeth inside and outside the round nut stop washer, and the hole or groove should be made on the external thread matched with the round nut to incorporate the inner teeth of the washer, after the round nut is tightened in place, the external tooth of the washer corresponding to the nut wrench groove should be bent and embedded in the groove, so that the nut is fixed.
